Using Effective Press Release for your SEO Strategy - a Case Study (Educational/Reference Purpose Only)

A recent Press Release from iCrossing UK (Global Digital Media Company) got me noticed about a strategy that can be implemented to enhance the SEO Strategy for your project. Certainly, I am not here to provide you any tutorial on how to achieve this but you can actually get the idea by analyzing over the press release and with few clicks on search engines and SEO tools will help you learn.

CoverZones, an online market place which provides quick and easy access to a wide range of business insurance products from UK’s major commercial insurance companies, wants to make a brand awareness through enhanced search rankings and traffic from key business targets – small and medium-sized business – to the site.

Had it been a traditional approach – Keyword Selection, Page Creation & Optimization, Search Engine Submission & so forth, it would only consume a lot of time and longer time for Major Search Engines to crawl a new website.

iCrossing steps ahead and takes a different unique approach which actually is quiet interesting to learn/analyze - making a quick search in Google for “coverzone.com”, yields 7 results.

Technology, Try Outs!, WTF? June 28th, 2008

Finally, time to introduce a small project I have been working around for quiet some time - Web Analytics Blog ! I previously hinted in my earlier post about my avid interest in Web Analytics & Internet Marketing, this also made me think about coming with a Unique Simple Blog that would cater the Web Analytics Industry for beginners.

Web Analytics Blog

Not to mention there are tons of experienced professional who maintain blog on Web Analytics or probably discuss a lot on the topic but being an aspiring Web Analyst myself, I couldn’t find one that showed the actual path to people who were actually interested in Web Analytics as a Career or Small Business Companies trying to incorporate Analytics to their website and yet finding solutions simple enough to get started.

Six Pack Abs syndrome enters Kollywood

Entertainment, Kollywood June 23rd, 2008

Surya Six Pack - Kollywood Six Pack Abs SyndromeNot much did people in Kollywood (Tamil Film Industry) explore body building on-screen, but its becoming a trendsetter (or fashion) these days. The only actor who I knew had a good body in Kollywood industry was Sarath Kumar (former Mr. Madras) but that being his passion and profession he maintained it, but explore the last 10 years, have we ever seen actors with good physique? This has been in rise in Bollywood, started with Salman Khan (very popular for his physique and body), every upcoming actor in Bollywood went with the trend. Back in Tamil Industry, none felt the requirements nor a trend to set.

Galatta.com classified as “Suspicious Site” by Google

Entertainment, Technology, WTF? June 21st, 2008

Galatta.com classified as Suspicious Site

If you are from India, specially down South you should be knowing about a popular site Galatta.com - an
Entertainment portal featuring new movie releases, music, contests and celebrity chats. The site also has Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi & English sections to cover the entire Indian Entertainment Industry and as well reaching hands on Hollywood! One of the first few sites that I visited when I started my journey on Internet, and have been knowing it since my early school days (10th Grade).

Ok, enough of what the site is all about.. now coming to an interesting twist..! The site has recently been banned or should I say classified as “Suspicious Site“. I noticed this when I tried visiting the site (via Firefox), “This web site at tamil.galatta.com has been reported as an attack site and has been blocked based on your security preferences.“! Well at first I wondered if the site was hacked (NO!), so what went to make Google stop users from entering the site?

Web Analytics and Me

Brighton, Technology, Work June 19th, 2008

So what I have been into all these days? A tough question to answer, not that I don’t have answer but the reply is going to be 2 pages+. But let me keep that aside and bring you what I really have been into! The title of the post should have triggered you something though..

If you had checked my earlier posts on my interview with Oban Multilingual, you should have known what I have been with lately. I have started to spend quality time on my career interests, the interview experiences I had with Oban Multilingual and iCrossing have provided me with good domain to focus on. The good and bad news was I wasn’t able to move to the next stage of job interview, but this doesn’t upset me as it gave me an opportunity to better myself and identify the field I have been passionate about.
